Outrage as Renowned South African DJ Gunned Down in Johannesburg.

A popular South African media personality and entertainer has been murdered in the metropolis of Johannesburg, triggering widespread grief across a country grappling with rampant crime.

Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, was shot and killed in the central business district on a Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the forty-year-old media personality was approached by three suspects, with one shot at him before escaping on foot.

The reason of the incident is unknown and no suspects have been apprehended have taken place, police said.

Law enforcement revealed that Stock was targeted as he was departing from a building near the city center landmark.

The DJ sought to escape after he was shot but collapsed a short distance away.

Police added that Stock had an gun that was not fired and no items were stolen during the attack.

"Evidence suggests they walked a long distance after the shooting, and police have been tracking them to establish their location," stated a police chief.
