The US President has approved the sending of three hundred military personnel to Chicago to address what he labels as out-of-control lawlessness.

The action came just after enforcement officials reported they confronted with protesters in the Democratic-led city and fired upon an armed woman when she and other individuals rammed their cars into law enforcement vehicles.

State and local officials have for some time condemned Trump's deployment plans and called it an overreach. The state's governor J.B. Pritzker stated Trump was "seeking to fabricate a crisis".

The declaration arrived as a court judge in the city of Portland – one more Democratic city – issued a temporary halt the Trump team from deploying two hundred personnel there.

Immergut labeled Trump's statements about situations in Portland "detached from the facts," and declared the move contravened the US Constitution.

She said the use of the armed forces to control disturbances without the Oregon state approving threatens the independence of that region and additional regions. The judge found that the administration's reasons for the deployment "threaten blurring the boundary between public and military federal power – to the detriment of this nation".

It is expected that a legal challenge will also be initiated over a potential sending in Chicago. It stays unknown whether a single troops have yet been deployed in the liberal city.

In the midst of continuing riots and chaos, that city officials like Governor Pritzker have refused to step in to suppress, Trump has approved three hundred troops to defend federal officers and facilities.

Chicago is the latest – many of them run by liberals – to be targeted for a contentious assignment of troops, joining DC, Los Angeles, Memphis, Tennessee and Portland.

It has seen an increase in demonstrations over federal immigration actions in the region, many of them happening outside ICE facilities.

On recently – shortly before Trump approved personnel there – Border Patrol agents shot a woman after a group of individuals crashed automobiles into government vehicles, the DHS announced in a comment. The woman was in possession of a firearm, the statement noted.

The woman's condition were unknown. The department said she went to a local hospital.
